Through their own endeavours, this first public exhibition of collective artworks has been funded, managed and promoted. It aims to initiate an exciting dialogue on a range of themes investigated through multi-disciplinary media and processes. Traditional approaches of painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking combine with an exploration of other artistic media such as film, digital photography and installation.

The second year Practice and Presentation module of the BA Fine Arts (Hons) degree culminates in this exciting exhibition. This has been designed to develop practical skills as well as those of personal and professional development; we see the pursuit of artistic ambitions and careers beyond the academic.

Subsequently, during the past eight months and with the invaluable support of their tutors, the group have established themselves as a well organised, resourceful and creative collective, focused on the realisation of this exhibition. In December, Access Approved Art saw their artwork go under the hammer in the local community, raising significant funds at a public auction hosted by charity auctioneer Martin Henfield,- former presenter of the BBC’s North West Tonight.
