A Brand New Summer Wine Fiesta for Manchester!
The North West Summer Wine Fest 2011 is a brand new wine event for Manchester, created to provide a summer celebration of locally inspired wine merchants, plus wine producers from across the world.
Held in the city centre oasis that is the Victoria and Albert Hotel, wine lovers can look forward to a bounty of bespoke and beautiful wines from around the globe, brought to guests by the best local retailers, and wine brands alike.
The event, produced by Edge Street Events, the team behind the Manchester Food and Drink Festival, will be the first big summer consumer wine event for Manchester and will include a gourmet BBQ thrown in for good measure!
The North West Summer Wine Festival takes place at the Manchester Marriott, Victoria & Albert Hotel on the weekend of the 11th & 12th June over three sessions:
Saturday 11th June
12pm – 4pm
4:30pm – 8:30pm
Sunday 12th June
12pm – 4pm
Each session will offer guests a chance to taste some of the most stunning wines around and talk to the merchants and importers themselves at their leisure across the 2 hour session. As well as the ‘stroll around’ tasting in the main hall, there’ll also be a dedicated programme of tutored tastings and masterclasses led by some of the UK’s most knowledgeable wine experts.
The Marriott’s Gourmet BBQ will be on offer on the terrace at an additional charge of £12 featuring delicious burgers, sausages kebabs and salads.
All in all the event promises a great summer’s day of wine, music, and hopefully sunshine!
