Successful TV chef and full-time Northern Soul aficionado Stacie Stewart is the jewel in the crown of Cord Bar’s re-opening celebrations on Sunday 15 July.
The bar, on Dorsey Street, Northern Quarter, has just undergone an extensive revamp and is the venue for a Mod alldayer organised by promoters, The Rock & Roll Lounge.
Stacie is one of several DJs playing throughout the day that will be playing Mod, R’n’B, Ska, Britpop, Freakbeat and plenty of Northern Soul from 2pm until late. Admission is FREE.
“The Mod scene is as strong as ever in Manchester and has now moved onto social network sites such as Twitter”, said Jim McGuinn, one of the organisers. “We’ve made some great friends on Twitter and in fact, we’ve used Twitter to book the DJs, organise and promote this event.”
