A mile or two south of the city, lies one of Manchester’s most iconic buildings.

Victoria Baths

The Baths, which opened to the public in 1906, were closed in 1993 and remained derelict until they won BBC’s Restoration programme in 2003.

…a trip to the Baths makes an unusual day out.

Victoria Baths

Works are still ongoing, but the building is open to the public on Sundays, and a trip to the Baths makes an unusual day out. We visited a few weeks ago to attend the Discover Vintage fair (the Baths are regularly hired out for such events) – the fair which was fun, but the star attraction was the stunning Baths themselves.

Visit Victoria Baths here.
