The brilliant Manchester Art Fair returns to Manchester Central this November. Exhibiting and selling modern and contemporary paintings, sculpture, photography, and prints from a diverse mix of galleries and independent artists, the event is a key date in the cultural calendar, attracting over 13,000 visitors from across the country and beyond. Visitors can get involved in talks, workshops, demos and meet authors at the book signings taking place at the event.
Sitting alongside Manchester Art Fair is The Manchester Contemporary, a platform for young galleries, artist-led spaces, charitable organisations, and partner institutions providing a critically-engaged environment for artistic exploration and development.
This year’s fair features sessions and talks on how to collect contemporary art, a deep dive into the life and work of prolific artist Eric Tucker, Q&As with former drummer-turned-artist Chris Rivers and Chloe Cox, and Nothing Is Real, an in-conversation session on the complex relationship between contemporary art and news media.
