STAT Magazine and Greater Manchester Tenants Union present ‘VERMIN’, an evening to Keep the City Centre Weird. They say: “There is a tendency to see art on the stage – music, theatre, performance – as somehow detached from political organising. We bemoan the loss of our venues and curse our ballooning rents, but we forget they are the product of the same evil: bastard landlordism.” Performing are PHILIP’S RAT, a collaboration between composer Vasily Ratmansky and multi-instrumentalist Lydia Phillips, HEDGEHOG a neurodivergent post-folk quintet, and RATHOG, a chaotic one-off collaboration between the two acts.
