The newly renovated River Restaurant is offering a 5-course dining option this Valentine’s (yes – five) it’s only £55pp and is available on both the 14th and 15th of Feb. That’s not all – they’re also hosting a month of Valentine’s Celebrations with a number of deals available until the end of Feb! If you fancy stopping over, there’s the Love at The Lowry Package (from £175) which includes an overnight stay, a three-course dinner for two, 2x cocktails and a full English brekkie. They always push the boat out over at La Bandera for Valentine’s Day and this year is no different. They’re offering a sublime 7 course menu for £55 per person, plus an optional wine flight for another £30. The menu is a combination of classics and unique Valentine’s additions such as their Chateaubriand with a Mushroom & Spanish Truffle Sauce, Slow cooked Oxtail in Red Wine Sauce and the ever-popular – Pulpo en Dos Cocciones – twice cooked octopus topped with mojo rojo.

There’s only one place to go to for a relaxed dining experience in an effortlessly cool surrounding all while you chug back as much Prosecco as you can stomach and that is Elnecot. Fancy something a little different? contemporary Chinese-inspired restaurant, Tattu, is welcoming the return of its ever-popular mini cinema screening event this Valentine’s weekend! On Sunday 16th of Feb, Tattu will be screening 3x classic rom-coms in their private dining room. There will also be a delicious 3-course sharing menu for diners to enjoy (which will include their famed hearts and roses dim sum baskets!) plus a  sharing cocktail. The Ivy is celebrating the Day of Love with a beautiful love installation positioned at the entrance to get you in the mood and two brand new exclusive cocktails. When in Rhone (£10.50) is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth made of Sipsmith Chocolate Orange and Bramble Liqueur mixture. There’s also Rose Fizz (£11.50) pairing Lanique Spirit of Rose with Ivy Collection Champagne. You are, of course, going to go for the 3 courses (unless you’re mad) and there’s plenty to choose from. Top of my list would be the splendid Flat Iron Steak Kebab (with whipped blue cheese and truffle), oh and their Greek Fries (topped with tzatziki, garlic mayo, feta, olives and chilli sauce). Mmmmm.
