The team at Manchester Young Professionals have launched ‘MYP Mentoring’, a free cross industry initiative, pairing like minded individuals at different stages of their careers. If you’ve not heard of them before, they’ve been connecting and developing young professionals around our vibrant city since 2013.

We are blessed with such a dynamic and diverse young professionals community in Manchester. Particularly given the current environment, the team at MYP feel it’s the ideal time to bring that community closer together than ever before.

The idea is simple, there’s never been a better time to develop yourself, whether you want to be a mentor or mentee, it will enable both of you to build your network and develop one another in the process.

Rich Tyrrell, Co-founder of Manchester Young Professionals

Rich Tyrrell, co-founder of Manchester Young Professionals said “We’re aware that having a mentor is common in some businesses, but not necessarily all. We also get feedback that many want to share their experiences with those who may be earlier in their career journey, hence bringing the MYP community for the initiative.”

Regardless of industry and seniority, the initiative matches up applicants based on their application profile. The Mentor/Mentee relationship will last for 5 months, from February through until June 2021, with an expectation of monthly 30-60 minute calls.

Over 150 applications have already been received, and there’s still time to apply! Applications close this Friday 22nd January.
