What’s better than curry? Bottomless curry. Obviously.

Returning to Freight Island is their ‘Bombay Curry Club’, which will be running every Saturday courtesy of the very lovely folk from Indian street food outfit Payal.

Here are the rules… for £16, you can head up and help yourself as many times as you like. And that’s it.

Rules are, as they say, for fools. Although do always please follow the Highway Code.

So we’re talking about groaning plates of chicken tikka, lamb karahi, chicken makhani, and aloo gobi masala, accompanied by sides like a fresh kachumber salad, naans fresh from the tandoor and masala fries.

We also ordered a few extra lamb chops and seekh kebabs from Payal’s menu, and recommend you to do the same.

They’re all served with jeera rice, spiced with cumin, and there’s poppadoms and vegetable samosas for snacking on too.

The sessions run from 1pm to 9pm, with DJ’s and music going on all day, so it’s a great shout for taking in the Six Nations too – kicking off this weekend and being shown on the big screens at Freight.
