Pork Belly
The Alchemist
The Alchemist never disappoints really. Not only did this feature a delicious homemade chorizo croquette but it also came with some sweetcorn puree and crunchy padron peppers on there – the perfect accompaniment to the crispy yet tender pork belly. Pure pleasure, trust me. – Rikki Chan

Vegan Platter from Fuku
Hatch
Perfect for 2 very hungry people – FUKU down at Hatch have released a vegan version of their sharing platter just in time for Veganuary. It’s packed full of Korean Fried Cauliflower, Katsu Curry Breaded Mushrooms, Seasoned Veg Spring Rolls, Salt & Pepper Crispy Puffed Tofu, fries, rice, sweet chilli and a katsu dip AND you even get two drinks. It’s SO good it nearly made me vegan. Almost anyway. – Ben Brown

Mumbai Breakfast Bun
Zouk
How’s this for an egg muffin – fried egg with succulent chorizo and soft sautéed spicy potatoes served inside a lightly toasted brioche bun. I gobbled this down, getting it all over my face but it was absolutely worth it. It’s an absolute beauty and my new favourite breakfast. I loved it and I reckon you will too. – Alex Watson

Duck Special
Volta
The champion of small plates has always been Volta. Sometimes you only need a little plate – and this one is everything you need and more. Succulent duck breast and a blood orange slaw – a trip to Volta without this dish is a trip wasted, if you ask me. It’s only on this week though, so hurry your little self up you will not wanna miss this one kiddos. – Ellie Edginton

Baby Don’t You Do It Waffles
Soul Coffee
So Great Ancoats Street has recently gained itself a little gem in Soul Coffee. Offering a roast by Heart & Graft, homemade gelato and not forgetting these incredible waffles. As it’s January I’ve been eating nothing but carrot sticks and spinach so to ruin my diet I decided to go all out and try THIS. Cinnamon roll waffles stacked on secret recipe waffle with DOUBLE CREAM, Nutellone, brownieeessss, biscoff and two scoops of the good stuff. I felt sick in a good way. – India Morris

Pig Head Croquettes
Elnecot
Don’t be fooled by the name these are absolutely FIT. Inside is like a pulled pork texture and the flavours are so impressive. In fact, I was so amazed by Elnecot, it was my first time there but I’ll definitely be back. I’ve been making my way through our list of offers (shameless plug – but it took us bloody ages over Christmas folks!) and so far have been to like 10 places and I’d struggle to pick my fave, but this dish is deffo up there. – Charlotte Warrior
