Pig on a Lead
Northern Soul Grilled Cheese
We went down to the new Northern Soul site this week and they’ve done a really good job on making it look great. You’ll be pleased to know that they are still banging out the city’s biggest and cheesiest toasties – such as this monster you see before you. The Pig on a Lead comes with Mac & Cheese and BBQ Pulled Pork. – James Barker

The Big Hit
The Refuge
This is a massive sharing dish over at The Refuge and is certainly something you should consider if you’re looking to do something for someone’s birthday. For £75 you get a HUGE lamb shoulder complete with all the trimmings, and you can make yourself some brilliant Lamb Cones with lashings of tzatziki . The lamb itself is Persian spiced and cooked to perfection. All it took was the slightest of pulls from the fork and it fell off the bone. Mega. – Rikki Chan

Salmon Cones
The Lowry Hotel
These delicious little beauties are part of the bar menu over at the brand new River Restaurant at The Lowry and well worth the trip over the River Irwell to try. As you can see from the picture – there were four of them. I ate all four. They were fantastic. Inside the cone there’s a salmon mousse by the way. – Ben Brown

2018 Domaine Sebastien David Cabernet Franc Hurluberlu
ERST
It might look like a massive bottle of Coca-Cola but this natural red wine in Erst is about a million times better than that sugary rubbish. It’s served chilled out of the fridge, which immediately peaked my interest and then as soon as it hit my mouth I was sold. It’s very fresh and light and I was getting plenty of cherry flavours in there. It’s almost TOO easy to polish a full bottle off so be careful. – Steven Pankhurst
