Launching Thursday 12th March is a brand new concept for the Northern Quarter, Gooey, is bringing ‘fresh donuts & cookies‘ DAILY to just outside of Steven Square.

The brainchild of the two guys from behind the dead popular Eatmcr, Jake Ansbro & Patrick Brown and Sax Arshad of The Zanna Group, Gooey is an exciting concept serving up NYC inspired cookies and donuts.

The treats will be baked fresh daily by Lewis Loughman (formerly Takk & PBK), served from Wilson’s Coffee window, reminiscent of those found in New York.

There will be traditional donut fillings such as raspberry jam, chocolate and vanilla custard and also regular donut specials and collaborations.

The first collab sees fellow NQ establishment, Black Milk Cereal to create a Kinder Bueno Donut and loads of vegan donut options all starting from £3.50.

Freshly baked cookies include white, milk, dark and double chocolate chip from £3.50 each.

Gooey Co co-founder, Jake Ansbro said: “We’re really excited to bring Gooey to the Northern Quarter freshly baked cookies + donuts. After daily sell outs in our soft launch, we’re confident the appetite for Gooey is strong.

This has been a real labour of love for us, something we’ve been waiting on the right moment for over a year and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone enjoying our new offering.”

Gooey will launch at Wilson’s Coffee on Thursday 12th March – open daily and serving fresh cookies 7 days a week and donuts from Wednesday through to Sunday.
