It’s an extremely difficult situation for all at the moment, however, it seems that freelancers and the self-employed have been particularly hardest hit – with little to no support coming from the government at all.

As a result, the team at Manchester International Festival have created a list of resources for the freelance creative community who are likely looking for guidance and support during this time.

The guide is split into 6 distinct categories:

Official Advice
Online networking and resource sharing
Financial guidance
Campaigns
Charities/fundraisers/grants/income
Social and creative networking

Resources for Artists & Freelancers

They’ve also created an open document on Google Docs for people to share resources amongst themselves.

Resources for arts sector freelancers

Finally, MIF’s John McGrath and Mark Ball are available between 2pm and 3pm Monday to Friday for artists or freelancers who want a chat or support.
