Now, you may or may not know this but The Trafford Centre has been in a bit of trouble recently. Basically it lost owners intu about a gazillion quid over the last year or so and they’ve decided to put it up for sale.

Its future looks in doubt, and whether you enjoy going there or not, its disappearance would make a huge impact on the economy of the city, and likely cause ton of jobs to just disappear into a puff of smoke and tears. So what can WE do to ensure that this doesn’t happen?

Well, one intrepid Mancunian, who would like to be known as ‘Miss Unknown’ for the time being, has decided to set up a crowdfinding page so that ‘THE PEOPLE’ can get enough money together to bid for it and ensure that it doesn’t get knocked down and turned back into a desolate concrete wasteland inhabited by 3-legged dogs and the occasional drunk scallie looking for his nearest JD Sports.

Asked why she’s decided to set the page up, it was more an answer of ‘why not?’, as she “would love to see people actually from Manchester owning it, as well as it actually staying within the retail chain” so as to protect all of those jobs and presumably also ensure that you can grab a new leather jacket at 9.30pm on a Tuesday.

So if you are a fan of The Trafford Centre and would hate to see it potentially disappear for the rest of all eternity – head on over to the GoFundMe page below and pledge some of your hard-earned pocket money. Oh, and good luck to you all!
