One of Manchester’s leading music, arts and culture organisations, Reform Radio began their Soundcamp project back in 2018 to develop young musicians aged between16 and 24 access high-level music-based training.
Alumni names included the likes of IORA, Superlative, Anamelia, PERiiSU, Rhod Parry, Alex Pascalidis, Josh Matthews and Indigo who have all soared to success.
Now, in partnership with Thirty Pound Gentleman and funded by Youth Music, Soundcamp will be hosting a showcase of talented artists for We Out Here’s Online and On Air series programme.
Soundcamp 2020 was halted halfway through due to the Covid pandemic, the cohort has continued to adapt, running remotely and safely and continuing to hone their creative practice through workshops, collaborations and expert guidance.
For the next edition of WE Out Here’s Online and On Air series, Reform will feature the current Soundcamp 2020 artists, including
- Joe Roche
- Queen Tamika
- Sarah Angel
- SUTTY (pictured left above
- Yelena Lashimba
Also appearing on the day will be sets and performances from Zeyla, Renee Stormz, Aaliyah Esprit, The Mirror Ball Test and Zed Bias.
All will be performing to raise funds for the Abram Wilson foundation who support young people to become the greatest version of themselves through music.
In March 2021 We Out Here’s live-streamed event raised over £3,000 for Sleep Pod, an emergency shelter designed to keep rough sleepers warm and dry.
We Out Here’s crowdfunding campaign for Abram Wilson launched on Friday 9th April and the live event will take place from Midday this Friday 16th April via the We Out Here website.
