Of course, there are many reasons to choose a flat or house in Salford Quays or MediaCity as it likes to be called, but I think I’ve managed to collate a small, easy to remember list that will stick in your head when deciding on where to live in the future.

Check this out…

World-Class Culture
Not only is MediaCity home to many of the BBC and ITV’s biggest shows, there’s also a wealth of independent shows and movies being made every single day down in the area – as well as countless radio shows and online content to boot. But that’s not all. There’s the fantastic Imperial War Museum North, the outstanding Lowry Theatre with a world-class programme of shows and events and not forgetting the stunning Ordsall Hall just a short distance away.

Transport Links and Commutes
Transport links from Salford Quays are impeccable, especially if you’re using trams or buses. Sure, those roadworks on Regent Road are causing a bit of a fuss at the moment but if you’re getting the tram you’re only 25 minutes away from everything the city centre has to offer. It’s also a good point to highlight that with all the extra space, parking is a doddle – and if you’re looking to use your car – it’ll only take a few minutes to reach the M60 and the rest of the UK is your oyster. Blackpool for the weekend? Easy peasy!

The Water
Not only do many of the MediaCity apartments overlook the stunning waterways in the area, they also offer a lovely area in which to have a nice stroll or walk on an evening or weekend. Most importantly though is that you can actively get in the water and enjoy a range of sports and activities at any time of the year. There’s boats to Liverpool, triathlons, and probably the best thing of all – the Helly Hansen Watersports Centre. Located in a section of the quays with water as clear as Evian (they filter it) – you can learn how to Wakeboard, Kayak, Canoe, Windsurf and more – as well as just having a lovely open swim in the pristine waters.

Fantastic Shops, Restaurants & Bars
There’s no need to worry about heading to the city centre every time you want to let your hair down because MediaCity is home to a long list of top restaurants and bars, as well as a fully-fledged shopping centre and cinema. The likes of The Alchemist, The Botanist and Dockyard are all there to provide you with all of your cocktail and food needs, as well as the exciting Pier 8 restaurant in The Lowry which serves up a menu of modern British classics. There’s also a ton of shops in the Lowry Outlet Mall should you want to get involved in a bit of retail therapy.

Luxury Living
One of the biggest reasons people flock to MediaCity is that you can get bigger and more luxurious living spaces for a much lower price tag than what you’d expect to find in the city centre. Because there’s more space and more developments popping up – you can bag yourself a fantastic deal at just the fraction of the cost it takes to live in the Northern Quarter or Ancoats (and it’s going to be quieter too!) Many developments also offer some impressive add-ons, for example the X1 Tower offers a fully stocked gym, a huge cinema room, a communal kitchen and dining room and even a massive outdoor terrace all as standard with their flats. You won’t get that in the NQ I assure you!

X1 Lettings offer some of the best living options in MediaCity in the guise of their stunning X1 Towers (1 & 2) which provide two, three and single bedroom flats that are gorgeous, modern and beautifully designed.

They come with one of the finest views in the whole area – looking directly over the Quays, Salford and beyond as well as the aforementioned on-site gym, cinema room, outdoor terrace and communal dining and kitchen areas.

In addition to this X1 Lettings have also recently been shortlisted for ‘Lettings Agency of the Year 2-4 Branches‘ from The Negotiators and ‘Best Lettings Agency‘ from the National Landlord Investment Show – so they must be doing something right!
