Launching this weekend, the Wolf at the Door introduce ‘Sounds like Sunday’ a day full of food, drink and live music entertainment that’ll all go to create the perfect start to the week. Or end. Whichever you prefer.

Sounds like Sunday kicks off from 2pm with a delicious 3 course menu or the option to order large cuts of meat for the table and share. Alongside the food will be the Wolf at the Door’s resident vinyl expert on the decks giving you that serious sweet soul Sunday vibe.

So what’s on offer? Is it a Roast Dinner? Well, no it’s not. It’s BETTER! For £25 you can get two courses, or three for £30 and there’s plenty on offer…

The 3 course menu come with a choice to kick start with Grilled Malt Barley Sourdough (+£5)with a good dollop of Sweet Onion Butter that’s so good you’ll never want to eat bread without it.

The first course includes a choice between Pressed Potato served with smoked egg, brown crab and dill pollen. Or you can opt for the infamous Lamb Skewers which have got an excellent reputation in the Finest Office for being one of the best starters in all the land.

Served with a miso glaze and lamb fat yeast flakes, the lamb is the definition of melt in your mouth, flaking apart from the skewer. It’s absolutely to die for and is definitely recommended.

For Mains, choose between 45 Day Aged Rump of Beef and roasted bone marrow, Tamworth Pork Chop with malted yeast extract or Glazed Hen of the Wood Mushroom with lemon and thyme oil.

Each dish is served with fermented potatoes, BBQ cavolo nero, roasted Autumn pesto and bone marrow sauce. Guests can expect rich, cooked-to-perfection meat and a delectable Sunday meal.

Dessert includes two options of Treacle Tart or Poached Pear with caramelised hazelnut, each is served with a creamy celeriac ice cream.

And finally, opt to finish with an evening of Wine and Cheese with Wolf at the Door’s Sommelier on hand to assist with all your cheesy needs.

For an extra £8, guests can expect a British Cheese Plate, crackers, toasted milk crisp and seasonal house chutney and of course, help to pick the perfectly paired wine for your evening.

Cheese, wine, lamb and plenty of sweet treats – that Sounds like Sunday to me!
