Following its successful 10-week run since it opened in October, Backyard Cinema has announced it’s extending its Manchester run until Wednesday 25th January 2023.
With the Christmas programme now finished, the rest of the month will shift to new releases from 2022, including Disney’s Strange World, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Avatar: The Way of Water, and Matilda the Musical.
Alongside the new screenings, all-time classics and favourites will also be shown to beat the January blues such as Moulin Rouge! (2001), Back to the Future (1985), The Greatest Showman (2017), Beauty and the Beast (2017), The Goonies (1985) and Pretty Woman (1990).
With its magical transformation up on the roof of Depot Mayfield, visitors will have their last chance to visit The Lost Theatre during this extended run in January.
Audiences can expect to be transported through a magical portal to a cinema like no other – making choices as they explore the move-grade sets, through tunnels of trees and magical doors, to eventually discovering The Lost Theatre.
For those feeling peckish before the movie starts, guests can make their way to The Waiting Room’s Pizza & Pint House first. The pizza menu includes a range of classic toppings and you can accompany each meal with seasonal cocktails, mulled wine, boozy hot chocolate and drinks on taps available.

And we now look forward to extending our Manchester run for the last chance to experience The Lost Theatre.”
Christmas showings at Backyard Cinema Manchester are available every Monday to Sunday until 2nd January 2023. Closed on Boxing Day, Christmas Bank Holiday, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Extended run in January will run every Wednesday to Sunday until 25th January 2023. Exclusive for January deals, from January 4th, Backyard Cinema Manchester is also offering 50% off showings Monday – Thursday each week throughout the month.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday shows are priced at off-peak prices, reduced from December’s Christmas film prices.
