Popeyes, the American fried chicken restaurant chain, has announced its plans to bring the Louisiana-style flavours to Manchester later this year. With a new shop set to open in Piccadilly Gardens, this marks the fast food giant’s 15th opening in 2023 and its 32nd since first opening in the UK in November 2021.
Located at One Piccadilly Gardens, the new restaurant will accommodate up to 67 diners, with additional seating for 32 outside, and takeaway options available. The menu will feature Popeyes’ classic offerings such as the chicken sandwich with signature 12-hour marinated chicken and original Southern biscuits and gravy. Additionally, a variety of side dishes like mac & cheese, mash with Cajun gravy, and original biscuits will be served, alongside milkshakes in various flavours including vanilla, chocolate, mocha, and specialities like Oreo, Lotus Biscoff, and strawberry cheesecake.
The Manchester location will also introduce Popeyes’ new breakfast menu, which includes the Big Breakfast Roll with sausage patty, egg, streaky bacon, and American cheese in a soft bun, along with other breakfast items like cajun hash browns, sausage, bacon, egg, and cheese muffins, and its famed Louisiana buttermilk biscuits with cinnamon sugar or Nutella.
Continuing with its tradition of Southern hospitality, the Manchester store’s opening will be celebrated with special offers and the opportunity to win the famous Chicken Sandwich. Those interested can sign up via the Popeyes UK website.
The move to open in Manchester follows Popeyes’ successful launch of its first North West store in Liverpool last November, and this further solidifies the chain’s commitment to expansion and service in the UK market.
