Aloha! Iconic Tiki Bar & Lounge Mahiki to open in September

Known for exceptional award-winning cocktails, cheeky Tiki vibes and unparalleled fun – party haunt Mahiki will be arriving in Manchester this September, revitalising One Central Street after a few years in the dark.

Embodying inclusivity and generosity, Mahiki is bringing the Aloha spirit to Manchester with exotic dancers, great music, and, of course, Mahiki’s inimitable cocktails.

Split into two rooms to offer two unique experiences, Mahiki Manchester is a next-generation Tiki concept which promises to capture the essence and elegant fun of the original 1950s Polynesian Tiki bars.

A cocktail lounge area – accessible from Southmill Street – will be open daily from 5pm (12pm on Sundays for brunch), offering guests the chance to unwind in a truly elegant setting. As part of the venue’s refurbishment, the original windows have been restored to their former glory bathing the space in natural light, while the newly installed kitchen will serve up unique Pan-Asian bar snacks and sharing platters.

After dark is when Mahiki really comes into its own. At 11pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays the doors to the club area swing open, providing access to the fun-filled party spirit Mahiki is known for around the world. The club area will also have its own entrance on Central Street.

On the list of Mahiki’s fantastic cocktails you will find its signature serve, the Treasure Chest. This epic concoction is served in a real treasure chest, and features Mahiki Rum, the finest brandy and peach liquor shaken with lime and sugar, topped with a bottle of Moët & Chandon.

Mahiki first opened in London’s Mayfair 12 years ago, and its unremitting fun-factor and open door policy has won the hearts of innumerable A-listers including Rihanna and Harry Styles, while HRH Prince Harry is also a known fan.
