Pop-Up Coors Light Ice Cave Coming to Albert Square!

Anyone who uses Jean-Claude Van Damme in their adverts is fine by me which is why we are here to announce that Coors Light are opening the #IceCaveRave in Albert Square from 15th to the 24th September.

Taking full advantage of the Big Book of Puns, and sounding like Arnie in Batman & Robin, Coors Light claim to be “bringing an ice cold rave to the city’s Freshers Week, with the Coors Light Ice Cave set to be the coolest bar in Manchester.”

Creating the optimum environment to enjoy an ice cold bevvie, ticket holders will be met by a Coors Light arctic explorer, supposedly fresh from the Rocky Mountains (or more likely The Pennines), who will equip them with thermal capes expertly designed to withstand 30 minutes in the chilly temperatures.

You can then choose from a variety of Coors Light cocktails, as well as (surprisingly), bottles or pints of the titular beer. If you prefer to be on the dance floor, you can rave the night away with friends and capture moments in the #IceCaveRave GIF booth, creating your own moving image – probably good for your Twitter or Bebo or something.

Music wise, Coors Light will be continuing their partnership with Mixmag – bringing DJs from the underground scene to spin the decks and get everyone dancing to keep warm. On top of this, they will also be launching DJ Quest in partnership with the magazine which welcomes up and coming DJ talent to compete to win sets at venues around the world, including Ibiza and London.

If you are about as familiar with decks and DJing as anyone who works for Capital FM then they will also be hosting DJ masterclasses to encourage anybody to have a go.

Those who prefer to be on the dance floor can rave the night away with friends and capture moments in the #IceCaveRave GIF booth, creating their own moving image during their quest for ice cold refreshments.

Bookings are open now, and general admission to the Ice Cave is free.
It is strongly advised to pre-book places on the Coors Light Website.
