What: Ridiculously varied and entertaining open mic night at the Thirsty Scholar
Firstly, the Thirsty Scholar itself is worth a visit purely for its quirky interior, fab veggie pub grub and people watching qualities alone. However, if you’ve got the choice, be sure to head down to Ed’s open mic night on a Wednesday. You’ll be certain to catch acts as diverse as up and coming local acoustic lads and lasses, indie bands with skinny jeans and attitudes as well as full on ska bands complete with a twelve piece brass section! One thing’s for sure, I’ll be hanging out at the back this coming Wednesday.
