Coming soon to Manchester Craft and Design Centre, BQ Bitesize is the latest in a long list of ventures for Tib Street’s Butcher’s Quarter.

The team has announced that they’re opening an artisan cafe inside the Victorian art deco venue, that will serve up a range of breakfast items, sandwiches, charcuterie and specially selected wines.

Due to open in early December, it’ll serve as an ideal spot to relax in while browsing alternative gifting from the independent traders inside.

The Craft and Design Centre has been a part of the city’s ever-evolving skyline since 1873, where it originally served as a retail fish market that was home to 40 traders with stalls and offices at weekly rentals.

Now, you’ll find incredible handmade wares from local makers and creatives, still putting the venue to its original good use.

With everything from jewellery to ceramics, glass, prints, screen printing, fashion and more at the Craft and Design Centre, it’s a must-visit for independent, local and sustainable gifting.

For Butcher’s Quarter, this is its third opening following the ever-popular Tib Street butchers, and BQ Farm and Fish in Monton. Taking to Instagram, it said: “Exciting news! We are opening a new concept inside Manchester Craft and Design Centre next Friday.

“BQ Bitesize will be a taste of everything you all love at BQ! Expect hot roast sandwiches, breakfasts, artisan coffee, quality wines, cheese & charcuterie. We’ll be open from 10am next Friday, so come grab a coffee and a pastry and say hello in our new amazing setting.”

BQ Bitesize will be open the same hours as the Craft & Design Centre, 10am – 5.30pm Monday – Saturday and 10am – 5pm Sunday.
