Today sees the launch of a very exciting collaboration in the city as Cottonopolis team up with Edinburgh Castle to bring us a unique fusion experience.
One is known for it’s outstanding sushi, Wagyu and dim sum, while the other is known for high-end British pub grub – and so they’ve come together to offer a bit of both – with some truly unique dishes available for collection from Edinburgh Castle.
What’s more, they’re also offering a range of wines to go with your meal – with a nice 20% off to boot.
So what’s available? Well, here’s the menu…
The Boroughs Burger (£10)
Double smoked bacon, sausage, truffle hash, smoked tomato, mustard, cheddar omelette on a brioche bun.
The Cutting Room (£11)
Braised lamb, pickled red cabbage, preserved lemon and cucumber mint salad. On house grilled flatbread.
The Castle Garden (£10)
Spiced courgette and pea fritter, pickled beetroot, fried halloumi, butternut baba ghanoush on your choice of brioche bun or house flatbread.
Tokyo Fried Chicken (£9)
Spring onion relish, sake pickled cucumber + soy mirin mayo
Kurobuta Prk Katsu Bao (£10)
Apple tonkatsu, pickles + herbs
Spicy Tuna Crispy Gyoza Skin Taco (£11)
Tobiko caviar, cured yolk, avocado + chives
Chunky Fries (£3.50)
Truffle mayo or smoked tomato ketchup
Kale, Apple and Kohlrabi Slaw (£3.50)
Creamy carrot + yuzu vinaigrette
There’s plenty to choose from there – no matter what your tastes. Edinburgh Castle is open for collection Wednesday (3pm – 8pm) and Thursday – Sunday (12pm – 8pm)
All you need to do is head on down, give them your order and you’ll be given a numbered ticket. While you wait you can get your drinks, and once your food is ready, you can leave through the side door to enjoy at home. Easy.
