After receiving a huge number of nominations earlier this year for the Best Culinary Experience category, Peter Street Kitchen was shortlisted for the Best Culinary Experience award that was to be voted by the public and presented in September 2022 at the British Restaurant Awards.

Facing fierce competition, the restaurant was voted to win the award ahead of a selection of  renowned restaurants from across the UK, including London restaurants Le Gavroche and Sycamore Vino Cucina, as well as The Ivy Asia in Guildford.

Set in the stunning Grade II*-listed Free Trade Hall, Peter Street Kitchen captures a point in history, with a careful restoration and infusion of modern art design.

The dining concept features a decadent selection of Japanese izakaya dishes and Mexican cuisine, including A5 Wagyu and Yellowfin tuna sashimi ribbons, kohlrabi salad and shiso soy, as well as selections from La Parilla (the Mexican Grill).

A full menu enhancement was introduced in the summer of 2022, as well as a residency by Whispering Angel from renowned rosé winemakers Château d’Esclans.

“Ever since winning the ‘Best Luxury Restaurant’ accolade in 2019, our culinary team has been working tirelessly to enhance Peter Street Kitchen’s dining experience even further.

“We are humbled that these developments have been enjoyed by guests and critics alike, and we would like to thank everyone for their continued support,” said Amir Jati, Service Excellence Director at Edwardian Hotels London who own Peter Street Kitchen.

Adding to The Kitchens’ culinary trophy collection, the ‘Best Culinary Experience’ award will further strengthen Peter Street Kitchen’s indisputable position as part of the city’s current dining scene.
