The TeePee’s have returned to the huge outdoor terrace at The Oast House in Spinningfields, and for this Halloween, they’ll be celebrating the spirit of Mexico’s Día de Muertos with loads of Patrón tequila!

Día de Muertos stems from the ancient belief that during those days, our deceased loved ones have the divine permission to visit friends and families on earth and spend time together honouring life.

Preparing vibrant and flavoursome offerings (Ofrendas) on altars to welcome their ancestors, Mexicans observe the festivity through food, drinks, and rich symbolism including decorative Cempasúchil flowers (Marigolds), Calaveras (an ornate representation of the human skull), papel picado (colourful papers), among the most recognisable ones.

Patrón have brought together this Mexican heritage to Manchester to celebrate Día de Muertos with a range of parties around the city this Halloween weekend.

There’s a special cocktail list at The Ivy, a huge week-long party with specially created food and drinks at Ducie Street Warehouse and they’ve created an un-dead wonderland in the TeePees at The Oast House.

Kicking things off this Friday 29th October, there’s set to be special Dia de Muertos themed cocktails for £7 each, each one served in special Patrón skull mugs, plus live music from 6pm, make-up artists and even a parade through Spinningfields at 8pm.

The takeover is completely free to attend, so get yourself down to enjoy the festivities Friday from 6pm.
