Neighbourhood eatery Blanchflower in Altrincham have always been at the centre of the community in the town, a local destination that offers up some of the best brunch dishes you’re likely to find, alongside outstanding bread and treats that are baked fresh on the premises every single day.

I think it’s safe to say that we’re huge fans of the place, and this adoration has increased considerably this week as they’ve announced that they’ll be offering up FREE kids meals this week while they’re on half term.

As I’m sure many of you are aware, what with the endless news coverage over the weekend, the Conservative government voted to deny free school meals for the country’s poorest children – a campaign that has been spearheaded by Man Utd footballer Marcus Rashford.

While the decision was made to NOT help those who are most vulnerable, many of the UK’s businesses have taken to social media to offer up support in lieu of government action – showing that people DO care and want to help those most in need.

As a result, kids eat for free this week in Blanchflower, and if you’d also like to make a donation equivalent to the meal (£5) then you can – with the money going directly to a local food bank to help those who need it most this winter.

Blanchflower is open every day from 9am.
