It’s officially that time of year, the cold frosty mornings are here, and all we want to do is devour ourselves some feel-good food to keep us warm, cosy and full of energy.

The Bay Horse Tavern, located right in the heart of the Northern Quarter, is a modern take on a Victorian Pub. It’s a laid-back spot with charm and personality, furnished with comfortable surroundings and a cosy fire, with a vast range of gins, craft beers and other offerings.

We adore The Bay Horse Tavern for their unique take on some of the best of British food, here are some of our Winter favourites:

This was one of those dishes you’ll never get bored of, so many flavours all combined into one, bursting with so many different flavours it just literally melted on my tongue, especially with the egg on top it was the perfect finish touch.

As soon as this turned up at our table, we all couldn’t wait to get our hands on it, it smelt and looked so good! Perfectly cooked, a nice crunchy texture with a soft inside, and full of so much flavour!

The Bay Horse Tavern Pies have always been a favourite of ours, especially because they’re served with THE best chips in town, and smothered in rich salty gravy. A twist on their original ham and chicken pie, their new addition is topped with chestnuts, its unique taste highly satisfied our taste buds, filled us up, and kept us cosy! It’s must-try addition to their winter menu.

This Bay Horse Tavern Mushroom Risotto didn’t last very long on the table, it really was something special. Bursting with so many flavours, and full of so many different types of mushrooms, it was demolished in minutes!
