Kargo MKT in Salford is marking Chinese New Year with a series of events and workshops on Sunday 11 February. As well as browsing the Lunar New Year market, there are plenty of workshops to get stuck into.
There is kids dumpling making, a fun and interactive dumpling-making workshop, designed just for kids. The session will see mini-chefs roll up their sleeves and learn how to make delicious dumplings from scratch, as well as the art of folding and twisting the perfect dumpling. Tickets cost £8.
You can also create a traditional Lunar New Year decoration by learning traditional hand weaving techniques, to bring you luck and prosperity in the year ahead. Tickets are free.
Finally, a watercolour painting workshop, where you can learn to paint Hong Kong’s iconic local delicacies using watercolour paints. Tickets are free.
