City of Floating Sounds World Premiere at Aviva Studios

This innovative new performance from Factory International will find the strands of composer Huang Ruo’s new symphony grow and meet each other as you travel through the streets of the city, before a world premiere of the full score performed by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra at Aviva Studios, conducted by Gemma New. City of Floating Sounds uses cutting-edge creative technology to take music out into the city. Guided by a bespoke mobile app, the audience will make its way through the streets of Manchester listening to fragments of Huang Ruo’s meditative new work, before convening at the arts space for the performance’s final movement.
