The Heaton Park Food and Drink Festival returns for its biggest event yet this weekend. Celebrating global cuisine and independent drinks, the festival welcomes all to experience a weekend brimming with cooking demonstrations, interactive workshops, live music, family entertainment and, of course, delicious food. The Street Food Arena will welcome 20 of the north’s leading vendors, each serving different global flavours and international cuisines, with highlights including Tik Tako, 7 Star Flag, and Super Bao Street Kitchen.
Guests can also browse over 100 independent traders at the artisan markets, ith everything from handmade crafts and art to sauces, cheeses, oils and more. There will also be two streets of independent bars serving signature cocktails, cider, wine, and speciality spirits, complemented by a Full Ale House, offering cask favourites and IPAs on draught.
The festival will also welcome all to enjoy entertainment across three live stages. In partnership with The Great British Bake Off’s Makbul Patel, the Live Cookery Theatre hosts twelve immersive demonstrations from some of Manchester’s acclaimed experts, including Pip’s Chef Mary-Ellen McTague, MasterChef: The Professionals champion Alex Webb, Junior Bake Off Winner Fin Woodward and Great British Bake Off fan-favourite Gill Howard. Elsewhere, the Live Music Stage features 13 live performances from some of the region’s best up-and-coming performers as well as fan favourite Oasis and ABBA tribute acts.
