The vibrant and ever-popular Manchester Caribbean Carnival returns this weekend. This year’s festival is set to be extra special as it marks 75 years since the arrival of the Windrush generation. After the success of last year’s event, which attracted over 60,000 people, this weekend’s edition promises to be bigger and better.
Taking place from 12pm to 8pm each day, the two-day free event will be a family friendly celebration of community, heritage, and music. With a packed programme of activities, visitors can enjoy Mas bands, delicious food from indie street food traders, eight stages hosting live performers, the King and Queen Show and the huge carnival parade.
