Red Brick Theatre, Up ‘Ere Productions and Rising Moon present MOJO by Jez Butterworth. Directed by Oliver Hurst, the Olivier Award-winning black comedy makes its Manchester premiere on its 30th anniversary at The Kings Arms in Salford.
“1950’s. Soho. Ezra’s Atlantic Nightclub. In the seedy gangster underworld of the rock’n’roll scene, club owners fight for control of Silver Johnny, the latest young sensation.”
Oliver Hurst said: “It’s incredibly exciting to be bringing such a momentous play to Manchester for its 30th anniversary. The intimate setting of The King’s Arms is the perfect venue for this pressure cooker tale where loyalty is fleeting, and survival hinges on brutality. It’s great to be working with such a stellar cast, filled to the brim with local talent, and to be contributing to the ever vibrant Manchester fringe theatre scene.”
