Salford City Council has announced that Eccles will host an immersive art exhibition from Tuesday 23 to Saturday 27 January. Mystery Bird will be a spectacular moving art installation and bring together a collective of artists to celebrate birds – and their symbolism of hope and freedom.
Running for five consecutive nights, Mystery Bird is made up of an illuminated bird cage with a magical soundscape, that will travel along residential streets of Eccles. The exhibition is inspired by the community spirit of the historic market town.
There will then be a magical projection of birds escaping across home and buildings, before culminating in a performance on Church Street outside St Mary’s Church in the town centre.
