Building on themes featured in the Manchester Museum’s new South Asia Gallery and SEEN magazine’s first issue, Sonics Stories and Scenes of the Diaspora will celebrate the sounds of global majority and South Asian diaspora artists making waves today as part of Manchester International Festival 2023. Taking place at Manchester Museum, the day-long takeover will also feature DJ sets, a panel with Alina Akbar, Saminah and Johnny Jay, film screenings, a henna workshop from Huq That and a playlist from all featured artists.
