The 70th anniversary tour of The Mousetrap, the longest running play in the world, heads to The Lowry in Salford from 8 to 13 April. The genre-defining murder mystery was written by Agatha Christie and premiered at Theatre Royal Nottingham in 1952. The production toured the UK before opening in London’s West End, where it continues at the St Martin’s Theatre, 70 years on. This production stars former EastEnders actor Todd Carty and Gwyneth Strong, best known for her long-running role in Only Fools and Horses.
