Cocktails in the City, the UK’s largest festival of bars, will premiere cocktails from The Ivy Collection at New Century Hall this weekend, offering guests an exclusive first look at the highly anticipated bar.
The Ivy Spinningfields will be joining the city’s most exciting, exclusive and famous bars, offering the finest drinks and the most creative bartenders all under one roof. With a line-up including; Arcane, Cottonopolis, Harvey Nichols, Science and Industry, the competition will be fierce to win the hearts of festival-goers and be crowned Manchester’s ‘Best Cocktail Bar’.
All bars will be turning out in force to deliver show-stopping cocktails, the latest innovations in taste and flavour, and one-off signature serves, all within sipping distance of each other.
The Ivy Spinningfields’ offering will be a delicious Salted Caramel Espresso Martini with Absolut Elyx, their Snowy Owl, made of Absolut vodka, coconut rum and Champagne plus an incredible Yuzu Lemonade soft drink.
As glamorous ballroom and industrial warehouse collide in the iconic hosting venue, guests will be taken on a tour of cocktail evolution across two floors, as the city’s most talented bartenders serve up cocktails throughout the ages.
Drawing from the four distinct eras of cocktail development, bars will be taking inspiration from either the decadent Belle Epoque period of the late 1800’s, the speakeasy cocktails of prohibition, retro and disco drinks of the 1960’s to 80’s and finishing with very modern and futuristic style concoctions.
The Ivy Spinningfields will open in Manchester on Tuesday 27th November, offering Mancunians a totally new dining experience set across four fabulous floors in the city’s financial district.
The restaurant will feature a ground floor brasserie, first-floor private dining room, an opulent Asian bar and restaurant on the second floor and a sumptuous Roof Garden featuring fire pits and lush foliage on the top floor.
