A comedy night featuring some of the hottest acts on the Northern circuit right now is hosted in the heart of Northern Quarter on the first and third Thursday of every month.

Taking place at The Fitzgerald, Comedy For Hot People is one of the newest comedy events in town, with a regular rotating line-up of world-class comedians – and the best part is that tickets are ‘pay what you can’.

The pay what you can scheme removes the financial barrier that may stand in the way of some people, giving everyone the chance to see Comedy For Hot People’s monthly shows at whatever price suits them. The shows and scheme are then made possible by those who are able to choose a higher price point.

Next up in the calendar for the coveted comedy night are pre Edinburgh Fringe performances from comedians Olga Koch and Milo Edwards

Taking place next Tuesday 26th July, a slight diversion from their usual Thursday events, star of Mock the Week, QI and Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, Olga Koch will bring her brand-new show ‘Just Friends’ to the Fitzgerald.

Known for her ‘uproarious, gleefully obscene comedy’, Koch was nominated for best newcomer at the 2018 Edinburgh Comedy Awards for her debut tour, Fight. Since then, she has garnered huge audiences across the UK through her natural storytelling and has also appeared on some of comedy’s biggest shows.

Milo Edwards’ ‘Voicemail’ show sees him return to the circuit following his 2019 Fringe show, Pindos. Now, he’s 29, which is located somewhere in that annoying transitional phase between childhood and death, and he’s keen to know what the point of him is. Voicemail is a stand-up show which examines life, death, politics and the answering machine

Doors open for every Comedy For Hot People event at 7.30pm and the show starts at 8pm. During summer, the organisers regularly host additional events alongside their usual Thursday shows, so keep an eye out on their Instagram for any further event announcements.
