If you could take a huge, white sheet of paper and paint a picture of your dream, unique wedding on it, what would it look like?

Maybe it would feature crisp white linen, ethereal drapery and bowls of fragrant, yellow lemons with a Sgroppino on arrival. Perhaps it would be fairytale-themed, all forest greens, artfully arranged branches and an abundance of fresh flowers. You might be more of a tea lights and macrame fan, with someone playing Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring on a ukulele. Or your dream wedding might be the other end of the scale all together, colourful, maximalist and bold with a modern menu to match. The possibilities are endless, especially if your venue is a huge white canvas just waiting for your most artistic ideas to be splashed across it.

The venue is housed in an old Victorian Warehouse. Image: fivefourstudios

Salford photography studio and wedding venue fivefourstudios can provide that canvas and has organised an open day event to fire up your imagination.

The three-story venue in a former Victorian warehouse hides within its unassuming exterior a host of bright and airy spaces in which to let your imagination run wild. From ancillary areas with industrial features like exposed brick offset by plush velvet and leather furnishings, to the three crisp, white studio spaces that act as blank canvasses for whatever theme you can come up with. The team at fivefourstudios can, in true Penny Crayon style, bring your ideas to life.

This well-regarded photography and film studio has hosted photoshoots for high-end clients the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City football clubs, New Balance, Team GB, and Adidas. The team here really know their stuff when it comes to setting up a space to the highest spec and this creative flair extends to their wedding venue dressing too.

As fivefourstudios is licensed to host civil marriage ceremonies by Salford City Council, the whole day can happen in one place. There is room for wedding ceremonies and seated dinners for up to 120 guests, or pull back the tables and chairs for a post-wedding party in a peak-roofed space that can handle up to 240 of your nearest and dearest.

If you’re in the planning stages of your wedding, the venue is hosting an open day that is well worth adding to your matrimonial to-do list. In collaboration with Florence & Vera Events, fivefourstudios is inviting couples to come and see the endless possibilities that it can offer for their big day.

This open day event on Saturday 11 March gives couples the opportunity to chat to the fivefour team and and discuss their plans with a carefully chosen range of suppliers who can provide unique takes on everything from flowers to furnishings to food.

You can pop in, grab a complimentary glass of something fizzy and have a wander around the spaces available which will be dressed to give you an idea of what can be done with them. See for yourself what a bespoke wedding breakfast table might look like in Studio One, or how a Sicilian-themed ceremony may look in The Loft. Try some mini cocktails in the bar to get an idea of what you might want your guests to be greeted with on the day.

Pink Cocoa will be showcasing different options available for an artisan wedding cake for your big day. There will also be displays and demonstrations from Flower Lounge, hair and make up artist to the stars Tally Bookbinder, plus crockery, furniture, stationary, textiles, DJs and everything from fine dining to street food. If you want to go really wild on the entertainment front, the Cequin Circus will be on hand to inspire you to add a sprinkle of the Lady Marmalades to proceedings.

Acclaimed wedding photographer Dan McCourt will also be in attendance to showcase his work. Aiming to capture the “real feels” of the big day, the photographer was shortlisted in the Top 50 Wedding Photographers list in the UK for his magical digital and film style photography portraying the emotion, love and excitement of weddings from beginning to end.

The Wedding Open Day at fivefourstudios is a relaxed event designed to inspire. Tickets are free but booking is essential for this popular wedding day event. Time slots will be allocated between 11am and 5pm on Saturday 11 March.
