In addition to showcasing the freshest talent, the evening also serves as a hub for individuals in the music industry to connect and form their own community. The night will be presented by BBC Music Introducing in Manchester’s very own DJ Roesh.
First up at 7:30pm, Vivi will take to the stage. Heavily featured on DJ Roesh’s BBC Introducing Manchester show, Vivi is a Manchester-based singer-songwriter, by way of Italy and of Ghanaian heritage.
Passionate about making honest feel-good music – that encapsulates elements of R&B, afrobeats and reggae – which is brought to life by her captivating vocals. This year has only seen her on an upward trajectory, with the release of her debut EP in July, VENI VIDI VIVI.
Next up at 8:15pm, Kahreign. Hailing from Zimbabwe, the singer-songwriter and producer’s love for synth-pop, soul, deep house and amapiano form her distinct experimental sound.
Celebrated for her high-energy sets, and her ability to champion her heritage through her music and movement on stage; she is an artist that hones clear intention through her craft.
PRIDO is rapidly becoming a frontrunner in Manchester’s music scene, with his storytelling afrobeat bangers. Citing hip-hop, grime, soul and afrobeats as his influences, the singer-songwriter and rapper exhibits a diverse musical range.
Lively both on stage and off stage, he’s a big one to watch so catch his set at 9pm.
Closing the night at 9:45pm, Jaydonclover – a self-confessed hopeless romantic, her poetic vulnerability, classically cool irony will never cease to satisfy lovelorn outsiders everywhere. Her gentle, soothing vocals unravel stories of race, vulnerability, accountability and beauty. By way of Birmingham, BBC Introducing’s showcase will present her debut performance to the people of Manchester.
