This year’s first night sees DJ legends Roger Sanchez and Todd Terry grace the decks as the two top US heavyweights head the bill.

Joined by fellow American Chez Damier, the trio of American DJ’s have all come to soundtrack both FAC 51 and the dance scene worldwide and from The Hacienda side, three of the original club’s residents, Graeme Park, Greg Wilson and Tom Wainwright round up an outstanding line up.

Back at The Hacienda for the first time since New Years Eve 1993/1994, Roger Sanchez is renowned as one of the finest DJ / producers to come out of the States. Shaped by a hip-hop background before house, his first global hit came with Underground Solution’s “Luv Dancin’” on the seminal Strictly Rhythm imprint in 1990 and he has remained hugely in demand ever since.

One of the few DJ’s to hit the UK Number One spot with the classic “Another Chance”, Roger’s “Release Yourself” weekly radio show, his continually strong output for labels such as Strictly, Defected, and Stealth and his worldwide DJ appearances have kept his reputation in the greatest standing with dance music fans across the globe.

There’s very little that can be added to the legend of “Todd The God” / Todd Terry. A great friend of The Hacienda who has performed many times for the club, the New York pioneer remains of the most respected house DJs ever. His vast repertoire sees his classic productions such as Orange Lemon’s “Dream Of Santa Anna”, Black Riot’s “A Day In The Life” and “Just Make That Move” and his newer material re-played and reinterpreted in his tightly structured sets.

Meanwhile Chez Damier is also a seminal figure in US house history who with Ron Trent shaped the early Chicago scene before moving to Detroit to influence the development of that city, DJ’ing at The Music Institute. He then managed the KMS label with Kevin Saunderson which saw the release of his most famous track “Can You Feel It” and his DJ sets reflect his deep understanding of the finest house and garage.

With the talented American trio, joined by The Hacienda’s Graeme Park, Greg Wilson, and Tom Wainwright, The Hacienda’s return to The Albert Hall in May is set to be one of the best club events of the year.
