The Best Raves This November (That Aren’t WHP)

The Warehouse Project is probably one of the best events to grace Manchester and for good reason. From September - December DJ’s flock from all corners of the dance scene to take over Store Street in an abundance of house, techno and euphoric madness that packs out week after week.

The one problem though, is that all other venues during this time seem to be forgotten. For a pricey £36 per ticket, most DJs will only exclusively play WHP in Manchester and neglect to tour again at other venues.

Granted at times, it’s totally worth it, but also there are so many events across Manchester that aren’t Warehouse Project that need mentioning.

Hotflush on the Road – Scuba + Or:La
Friday 3rd November @ Soup Kitchen
Go and enjoy one of the most vital figures in electronic music play all night long at Soup Kitchen with his Hotflush label mates at a tiny venue where you can get into it properly. Scuba never fails to put on a fun and lively show, so you won’t even notice that you’re not at Warehouse Project.

Bicep (Live)
Saturday 18th November @ TBA
Bicep’s massive UK live tour comes to Manchester, but watch this space for where the venue will be. Feel My Bicep playing House, Disco, Fuck and Techno never ever fail to get the party started, or keep the party going. Following release of their first ever studio album earlier this year on Ninja Tune and countless excellent mixes, you’d be really stupid to miss this one. The duo are curating their own Warehouse Project that same night, but nevertheless they won’t fail to deliver at their live show.

DJ Yoda (Old School Hip Hop Set)
Friday 24th November @ Band On The Wall
No typical club DJ, but following the success of touring his Stranger Things mix (he played at Gorilla last year), the multi-award winning hip-hop DJ and producer comes back to Manchester with an out and out, no-frills hip-hop set, going straight back to his roots. Tickets are still only £10 earlybird to catch the master at work.

La Discotheque 1st Birthday – Evelyn Champagne King / Roy Davis Jr
Saturday 25th November @ Albert Hall
After a fantastically successful year for the La Discotheque family, it’s only right their first birthday party should be as glitzy and glam as the rest. Following their sellout first party in November showcasing PBR Streetgang and Horse Meat Disco through to their wonderful New Year’s Eve Party with Candi Staton and Derrick Carter and other unbelievable nights with the likes of Todd Terje and Dimitri from Paris, Jocelyn Brown and Hercules and the Love Affair, it seems only right that disco royalty Evelyn Champagne King should celebrate them being one.
