Christmas is always a magical time of year at Manchester’s oldest Italian.  This year the restaurant and bar have gone all out with three special menus available in varying degrees of indulgence. Think bespoke Michelin dishes from chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, a berry merry Christmas cocktail menu and, to add that finishing touch to your party, live entertainment every Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout December.

Since celebrating their 33rd birthday this Autumn, Fridays and Saturdays at the city’s original Italian eatery have seen a host of iconic Manchester Dj’s, including HomoElectric’s Jamie Bull and original Hacienda DJDJ Paulette, operating the ones and twos to bring the party to Don’s.

Thursdays see their resident sax man Alvin serenading tables with his smooth mix of funk, soul and jazz. Friday’s promise a mixture of live performances from local talents and Saturdays see their resident DJ Kiddo pumping out all the disco classics you could dream of.

And if you are looking for something entirely different Manchester’s Operatic Ensemble will be singing at Don Giovanni’s on Thursday 14th December between 5-7pm. The ensemble has teamed up with the restaurant in their performance A Dinner Engagement at Manchester Central Library which occurs later in the month. Pop down and enjoy some festive music and opera arias as you enjoy some authentic Italian dishes.

It is all happening at Don Giovanni’s this month, so whether you want to get down to some funk or you are a little more of a traditionalist, it is the place for you this festive season.
