Tomorrow sees a local record label lay on an evening of quality guitar tones at one of the city’s more spacious venues. Needless to say, expect it to be full.

Maison Finest

If you’re unfamiliar with Maison Rouge then let’s start with the introductions. Based out of Bolton, the imprint has garnered a strong reputation for itself as a fine purveyor of rock and indie tones; rough, raucous and right to make feet stomp.

The acclaim for the label’s output is thanks at least in part to releases from the likes of The Jade Assembly (billed as the best new guitar band since Kasabian), and Empire Signal (who compare to The Verve spliced with U2, kind of). Both of which will be present and correct when the organisation takes over Sound Control on Friday 9th August 2013.

Alongside the aforementioned powerhouse bands, attendees will also be treated to a performance from one Jordan Allen, a guy some critics are touting as Manchester’s answer to Jake Bugg. Full details of the show are below if you fancy checking out this rather tempting offer first hand, and if anyone is still unconvinced the following videos should be enough to sway your opinion.
