If ever there was a hotel that lived and breathed its brand, it’s the BrewDog DogHouse. Set just off Peter Street in a former office block turned beer paradise, this 18-room boutique bolthole is unapologetically immersive – from the moment you check in at the taproom bar (beer in hand, naturally) to that last bacon-laden brunch before you roll out.
Each room at the DogHouse takes its name from a BrewDog beer, and it’s safe to say the detail goes way beyond a cute sign on the door. Think doormats with tasting notes, lit-up beer can plaques, and a walk-in shower complete with its own fridge so you never have to bathe without a cold one. In-room beer taps and a minibar stocked with craft specials, while extras like a guitar, record player with a local vinyl selection, and pick-and-mix stations in the hallways add to the sense of playful, booze-soaked hospitality.
Décor leans industrial – all metro tiles, exposed brick, parquet floors and neon-lit slogans – but with unexpected comforts like luxe robes, proper coffee setups and high-pressure waterfall showers. The Captain’s and Brewmaster’s Suites take things up a notch with kingsize beds and extra space to stretch out post-session.
Downstairs, the taproom is the social hub, serving everything from pancakes and kimchi bacon sarnies for breakfast to loaded burgers and wings later on. Over 30 lines of craft beer are on tap, and the rock-paper-scissors dessert challenge post-meal is just one of many irreverent touches. Upstairs, the rooftop bar has quickly made a name for itself with dorado tacos, hanging plants, fairy lights and a retractable roof for year-round alfresco hangs.
Packages like the “Top Dog” include beer school tasters, and if you skip your towel change, you’ll be rewarded with beer tokens for being eco-minded. You can borrow a Brompton bike to explore the city, bring your dog (who’ll be welcomed with their own menu and maybe even a birthday bash), or just bed in and live your best IPA life.
The DogHouse isn’t subtle – but that’s not the point. This is the ultimate beer-fuelled escape for fans of the hoppy stuff, where fun comes built in and the good times flow on tap.
