Women from across Manchester who want to get back into the workplace are to be given a helping hand from a new charity that is being launched on 10th July.
Dress for Success Manchester, based in Parsonage Chambers, provides professional attire and career consultations to help women on low incomes to get back to work.
When a woman comes to Dress for Success Manchester, trained stylists will dress her in a smart professional outfit to wear to her job interview and a senior executive will offer personal interview training. All of this will be free of charge and enable women to apply for a job with confidence.
“We help style and professionally guide women returning to employment,” said Anna-Louise Gilhooley, founder and CEO of Dress for Success Manchester.
“Our team give women the confidence to follow their own path to succeed and thrive in work and life. We will dress more than 1,000 women a year in high quality clothes donated by retailers and professionals. A visit to Dress for Success Manchester can change the course of a woman’s life.”
After the women helped by Dress for Success Manchester find work they are given a capsule ‘work attire’ wardrobe by the charity plus they receive ongoing support as they grow professionally.
Dress For Success are now looking for any volunteers or businesses to get involved with them. Whether you can offer your skills in business or donate any high quality work clothes get in touch by calling them on 0333 444 0530 or for more information visit www.dressforsuccessmcr.org
