Next week Kosmonaut over on Tariff Street in the NQ will be hosting a rather interesting night in the form of Battlegroundz – an exhibition by Manchester illustrators Harrison Edwards and Daniel Gunn which will see the pair pit their favourite hip hop artists head to head in an artistic battle to the beats.

In what sounds like a brilliant mix between 8 Mile and The Generation Game, the pair will use mixed styles of illustration and other mediums so you can expect to see some of hip-hop’s most iconic and contemporary figures presented in brand new ways.

For the musical backdrop of the night, KhanFu will be on the ones and twos to supply a fitting soundtrack and if all these things werent enough – them fish loving legends at Hip Hop Chip Shop will be getting out their fryers and keeping them lit for your culinary pleasure.

Finally, to crown the night off – they will be running a few games of hip-hop bingo – which I’m sure will be a lot of fun for anyone who enjoys their beats and breaks. Oh and I forgot to mention, there’s also set to be FREE Gin & Juice courtesy of their art partner – Three Rivers Gin.
