With Muhammad Ali’s 70th birthday approaching on the 17th of January 2012, an exhibition featuring the official Muhammad Ali fine art collection will be on show at the Generation Pop art gallery in the heart of Manchester.

Ali is not just a global sporting legend, Olympic gold medal winner, the BBC’s “Sports Personality of the Century” and GQ magazine’s “Athlete of the Century”, he is also a recognized humanitarian, having received the United Nations Messenger of Peace and Amnesty International’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

This is the first time a collection such as this has been put together, Ali transcends boxing and this official artwork will be highly collectable, appealing to art collectors as well as boxing enthusiasts. Each piece of art is approved and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from ‘Muhammad Ali Enterprises’.

Contributors include British artist Paul Oz, who is also an official artist for the Bruce Lee family and American artist Joe Petruccio who in 2006 was chosen by MGM and Sly Stallone to create a series of paintings to honour 30 years of Rocky.
