Jon Parker Lee will be exhibiting at Manchester’s prestigious Portico Library and Gallery as it hosts its annual ‘Northern Exposure’ group photography exhibition from 05 March to 29 March 2014.

The free-to-attend exhibition takes place within the sumptuous surrounds of the 208yr old library where Roget’s Thesaurus was created, and Elizabeth Gaskell shared literary musings with Charlotte Bronte.

The group exhibition is the latest in Manchester-based press photographer, Jon’s celebration of ten years of freelancing, after a solo retrospective at 2022NQ Gallery in Dec 2013. Jon is a professionally trained, Manchester-based freelance photographer. Starting as a press photographer in 2004, he now produces images for a broad range of commercial clients, as well as working on projects such as the Manchester Literature Festival. Jon’s work spans the world of politics, sport and social documentary, and encapsulates the diverse subject range of a freelance photographer on his travels.

“The Portico Library really is one of Manchester’s gems. It’s such a beautiful space and, as I celebrate my tenth year trading, I’m delighted to exhibit my photography there,” said Jon.

The show runs from 05 March to 29 March 2014 and is open Mon-Fri 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Thursday to 7.30pm and Saturday 11am to 3pm.
