FOX Restaurant is located in an affluent suburb in south Manchester’s
Golden Triangle called Hale Barns, which is just a few miles away from
Manchester airport, ensuring the new restaurant will be a hit with locals
and visitors alike.

The new restaurant takes pride of place in a brand new retail
development called The Square, on Hale Road, and will create in excess
of 50 jobs. As the only restaurant in the complex, FOX is adjacent to high
end supermarket Booths as well 4 other retail outlets and 24 residential
exclusive apartments.

With a £1m fit out designed by renowned London design team Alexander
Waterworth Interiors (AWI), who have designed schemes in London, Paris
and New York, the brand new 4,000 sq ft restaurant will be able to
accommodate 120 guests from breakfast until late, 7 days a week.

“I’m excited my first restaurant will be in my home county”

The main seating area within the restaurant is also complimented by more relaxed countertop
kitchen dining, at the hand crafted marble kitchen countertop overlooking the open grill and
pizza oven. Spring 2017 will also see the addition of a feature terrace that wraps around the
restaurant, showcasing an all weather terrace with retractable roof, providing the perfect alfresco
people watching pit stop, all year round, whatever the weather.

An impressive open plan kitchen with a wood fired grill will stand centre stage in the restaurant.
Meats, fish, poultry and other amazing proteins will be cooked over it, using charcoal and locally
sourced wood. Alongside the grill there will be a bespoke feature wood fired Pizza oven, perfect
for cooking Sour-Dough pizzas with amazing toppings.

The menu will be simple and healthy ensuring guests can order amazing cuts of meat. All grill
items will be served with simple salads made from fresh ingredients, accompanied by delectable
dressings or, if you desire, fries!

Head Chef John Thompson, comments on the menu he is creating; “I met with Danny and fell in
love with the concept immediately, Simple but skilled cooking with amazing ingredients and
provenance, is what we are aiming for. We believe people today love simple food with a focus on
health and every now and again, some indulgences- FOX will deliver that with style!”
Opposite the kitchen there will be a lively bar serving great cocktails and a selection of draught
and craft beers and ales.

The wine list will be extensive offering guests a good selection of wines and Champagnes by the
glass and by the bottle.

“This is the first restaurant of many to come, the FOX Restaurant Group is set to grow
substantially over the coming years, with not just FOX but other restaurant sub-brands in the
pipeline, all based around the principle of FOX.”
comments founder Danny Fox.

“I’ve been working on this concept for some time now and this is the way I love to eat. You
cannot beat a steak or an amazing piece of fish cooked over open flames, put that alongside a
beautifully dressed salad and a chilled glass of wine and I’m in heaven! But the focus of the menu
is simple, either Grill or a Sour-dough pizza, means that everyone can find what they want to eat
on the menu without having to go through section upon section or multiple pages of choices, that
are seen in so many restaurants nowadays. The design we have put together with AWI is clean
and sexy, it compliments the simplicity of the concept perfectly and will really bring a feel of New
York – London to Hale Barns. I’m excited my first solo venture restaurant will be in my home
county and will become the first of many.”
